A little bit about me

My name is Amie Leonhardt, aka Bionic Tatter.

I’ve been tattooing for over 10 years, doing a wide range of styles. Animals, skulls and florals are definitely up there as my favourite subjects to draw and tattoo. I am based at The Last Nail Tattoo on Old Mill Road in Torquay, it’s a nice quieter area of the bay with free parking around, a cafe and newsagents.

I became bionic in 2023, after surviving a second sudden cardiac arrest. A defibrillator was fitted under my skin, protecting me from further life threatening events.

Facing my mortality at a young age, more than once, definitely made me reevaluate my life and the direction I want to go. That direction is helping others, raising awareness and doing rad art.

As a proud ambassador for the amazing charity, Heartcharged, I help advocate for better survival rates among women in sudden cardiac arrests, holding regular fundraising events and teaching CPR on female manikins.

Plus having now trained under Lucy Thompson, I am now also able to help others in a different way - restoring lost areolas.
